Becoming the successful girl boss that you are daydreaming about, takes a lot more than just daydreaming. It takes hard work, determination, patience, dedication, and perseverance. We are going to start with habits that you should apply to yourself to give you the best chance of becoming that girl boss!
Always Wake Up Early
This one is a no-brainer! Waking up early gives you many benefits. The early mornings give you the time to focus on tasks before the world starts demanding things from you. You can take this time for planning, journaling, mapping out money moves, manifesting, and many take it as their self-care time before they get the day started. Waking up early and starting your day intentionally will make you feel more powerful, in control of your life, and refined. It’s important to do research on other successful female entrepreneurs to see how they start their mornings and align yourself with the same intentions. Most highly-achieving women wake up early because it puts them ahead physically, mentally and emotionally.
Be Health Conscious
Being health conscious is more than just for you but for your company as well. When you are at your healthiest point you are showing up at your highest-value and when your body feels good, you carry yourself with a much higher confidence and presence. The energy your clients will feel, customers, and business partners. Your health becomes your secrete productivity weapon. When you eat well, stay hydrated, and move your body it gives you the clarity to be sharp and have consistency in keeping your goals moving. As they always say “A strong body equals a strong mind” this is true especially when you have a busy schedule. While it is possible to pour from an empty cup is it truly good for a girl boss? Absolutely not! Running a business and a household can leave you feeling drained. Your self-care is your first priority to be your best self for your business. One of the best parts about being health conscious is you become a role model to other future girl bosses and you inspire others to step up their lifestyles!
Take Action
When you are a girl boss you don’t wait for permission to take action. You take that action and lead. Taking action turns dreams into results and executing these actions turns your dreams into results. You stop overthinking about your next steps and what you should do and start becoming what you dream about. When you take action you become ahead of everyone else who keeps dreaming of the opportunités to arise and you become first in line for those opportunités. Moving forward puts you in rooms, conversations, and spaces where success lives. While planning out next steps is important you learn faster by doing it and set your self up for success when your failures become feedback. A reminder that your future self depends on your courage today to take that action and be consistent with these actions. The consistency will almost always beat the talent every time and when you take that action you are changing your life for the better.
Never Give Up
When you give yourself the benefit of never giving up on your dreams and become consistent in turning ambitions into achievement, you become the successful woman that you are dreaming of. Your resilience becomes your superpower and when you refuse to quit, setbacks become lessons, not dead ends. It’s important to remember the breakthrough always comes right after the struggle. Being an entrepreneur for six years has taught me so much about resilience. You build unshakable self trust with yourself each time that you push through obstacles, you prove to yourself that you can rely on you to get you through anything in your journey as a girl boss. Your perseverance will inspire others. It will inspire other women to become successful in their career and it will help you build successful relationships with other entrepreneurs and clients. And when you never give up, it makes you become unstoppable and a very important quote to remember in your journey is “Diamonds form under pressure and so does a powerful woman.”
Be Goal Oriented
When you are goal oriented you move with purpose and not confusion. Having clear goals gives you the direction to steer you through your journey. Each day you wake up and know exactly what you are working towards. This helps you stay focused on what truly matters and when you hit those milestones with your goals it gives you the “I did that” confidence boost. You waste less time and you create more of an impact. Instead of worrying about what you are doing next you are already ahead with your plans. Even during periods of setbacks you stay motivated when you know your “why”. The obstacles will not stop you, they will sharpen you. A girl boss with goals doesn’t hope for success she builds it.
Think Positive
There is absolutely no room for negativity when you are becoming a girl boss. You having a positive mindset no matter what is thrown your way will attract better opportunities for you. It pulls connections, abundance, and possibilities that match your energy. When you handle the stress like a CEO and not a victim you allow that positive mindset to help you stay calm, strategic, and stay solutions-focused instead of overwhelmed and wondering what you should do next. You stay highly motivated with that positivity and not only believe but know that good things are possible. You become a leader with grace and not fear that magnetically attracts people that want to support and follow your business. Lastly, with a positive mindset it makes every success feel easier, and not forced because your thoughts align with your goals and the journey becomes smoother and more fulfilling.
Break The Rules
There is an importance in breaking the rules. Instead of following the crowd you create your own path and girl bosses know that success isn’t found in the “normal” route. You must build through originality. Through your originality you unlock creativity and innovative ideas. You break out of the box and free your mind to think differently and stand out. Breaking those generational patterns and refusing to beat the cycles of silence, struggles, and settling for just a 9-5 with no freedom to live your life rewrites the rules for your future and future generations to come. That moment that you reject what society says you should do and discover what you are truly capable of and set your own standards instead of waiting for approval makes you powerful and your business. Again, you inspire other women to step into their girl boss power and you become a trailblazer that not only reaches for success but redefines what it looks like.
Now that we are past the habits that you must have for yourself. Let’s chat about the important tips that will help you become successful. These tips helped me grow my business and become successful in what I do.
Control Spending
Controlling how much you are spending not only within your business but outside the business aspect of your life is highly important. You gain financial freedom instead of financial stress, when you manage your money it stops managing you. Then and only then can you invest in what truly matters. More funds for your business, your kids, goals, and your future. Building that long-term security and thinking ahead as a girl boss does will create savings, stability and safety. Stopping impulse buying from emotions gives you better money habits and less regret with more intentional choices. There is also that importance of having an emergency cushion to have a backup plan for yourself and your family. Being able to fund your dreams without relying on anyone else to help you gives you peace and reduces debt that you have to pay back for someone else to help you fund your dreams. This is something that has always stuck out the most to me as a girl boss, setting an example for responsibility and ambition whether it be for your kids, friends or clients. It shows them that you are a woman who is smart, intentional and focused.
Taking Care Of Your Business
This one is a no-brainer. Your business reflects your personal power. When you manage your brand with intention, it becomes a living example of your discipline, creativity, and strength. When you have consistency it keeps your momentum growing and a girl boss knows that success is built through steady action. Another important key is that you build trust with your clients and supporters when you take care of your business because they know you will also take care of them and your business becomes a vehicle for independence and taking care of it means you are taking care of your freedom, income, and future. Daily attention keeps problems small and not overwhelming. You handle things early, you avoid crisis later on down the road. When you treat your business like a priority and not a hobby it thrives and you stay ahead of competitors. The real success when you fully commit not just halfway.
Pay Bills
Another no-brainer. Keeping up with paying your bills inside and outside of your business, keeps it thriving. This protects your credit and future opportunities. Responsible payments keeps your credit strong, so you can secure loans, investments, or business growth when you need them. This in turn shows discipline and reliability. A girl boss knows that managing money responsibly reflects your overall professionalism and self-control. Part of this reflects back to self-care taking care of bills reduces your stress and mental clutter. When the bills are paid on time you can focus on building your empire and not worrying about late fees or penalties. This protect your reputation for being reliable and builds trust with landlords, service providers, and business partners. When basic responsibilities are handled, extra funds can go towards investing in growth within your business. This in turn will reinforce that self-respect and empowerment as a girl boss that has control of her finances and taking control of her own life.
Remember Money Spells Freedom
It’s important to remember that money gives you the freedom to make your own choices. Where you can live, what you wear and how you spend your time. A reminder I like to give every girl boss is a 9-5 won’t allow you to do this. The money you earn will give you the freedom to invest in yourself, your education, personal growth and wellness, and skill building will become possible when you have control of your finances. You can have the freedom to take risks. Leave that toxic job and pursue dreams when that financial stress is not holding you back. You can gain the freedom to travel and experience life. Vacations, adventures, and new experiences aren’t luxuries they are part of living fully as a girl boss. You have the freedom to help others whether it be your own family, getting your parents their dream car or home, or helping friends, You can do it without hesitation. You will gain the freedom to live unapologetically and set an example for future generations.
Naturally Commanding Respect
Naturally commanding respect as a girl boss will make people listen when you speak and your voice carries weight so that your ideas, opinions and decisions will be noticed and valued. You will in turn build that authority without forcing it and respect comes from presence, confidence and authenticity. Not intimidation or aggression. The boundaries that you will hold will be honored and commanding respect naturally will cause others to follow your rules and limits. When you attract high quality connections from naturally commanding respect you will draw energy for those who match your vision within business and life. You begin to make decisions with confidence and establish respect through your choices and carry weight and authority. This will make your energy magnetic and people will remember you as the woman who owns herself.
Building Your Network
Building a strong network is key to being successful as a girl boss. Your opportunités multiply and connecting with the right people will open doors that talent alone can’t. You will gain mentors and role models and be able to accelerate your growth and success. Collaborating with your networks will beat completion and having strategic connections creates partnerships, referrals, and projects that elevate everyone involved. It’s important to build credibility and be seen in professional circles, this will strengthen your reputation and authority. Having a network will help you access resources and insider knowledge. Your network can provide tips, tools, and insights that save time and money. They can even give you support that will provide you with resilience and motivate you during challenging times within your business. A key objective to remember is that your confidence grows with every connection. Networking isn’t just about contacts, it’s about showing up, speaking up, and owning your presence.
Be Consistent
Being consistent builds. It builds clients, teammates, and followers that respect and rely on a woman who shows up regularly. Being consistent turns your small efforts into big results and builds daily habits and repeated actions that compound into massive growth over time. You develop a discipline and focus that trains your mind to prioritize what matters most and avoid the distractions that are not important. You overcome the procrastination and self doubt that halts many women that are becoming girl bosses and the routine actions that you have reduce the hesitation and increase confidence in your abilities. Never forget that consistency turns you into an unstoppable force. A girl boss shows up every day and doesn’t just hope for success she creates it in every shape and form.
You Must Have A Backbone
You can’t expect to be a powerful girl boss without a backbone. You must set and enforce boundaries . You know when to say no, protect your time, energy and goals. People will not take you seriously if you do not stand firm and stick to your values. You also have to make tough decisions with confidence. You must choose what is right and not just what is popular in decision making. With having a backbone you resist the manipulation and negativity others will throw your way and strong women do not let others push them around, they stray grounded and assertive. You must choose build credibility and authority. People will naturally follow you and trust you as a leader because you demonstrate courage and conviction. Lastly, having a backbone makes you unstoppable. A girlboss who stands firm is fearless, empowered and impossible to ignore.
Make Your Daydreams A Reality
You can’t just stick around in your daydreams. You must make them a reality. Daydreams are your blueprint for success and every empire starts with a decision. Turning it into action will bring your ideas to life and unlock your true potential. Pursuing dreams pushes you beyond comfort zones and reveals your strengths. A key fact to remember is that you will inspire other girl bosses to pursue their own visions and when other women see you go after what you want it will give them permission to rise as well. Mistakes are proof that you’re taking action and a girl boss who never fails likely isn’t trying enough. You will improve your decision-making and grow humility and self-awareness. The mistakes reveal areas to improve, helping you evolve personally and professionally.
